Welcome to the Durham Golf Partnership!

The Durham Golf Partnership (CGP) is a joint venture between the Durham County Golf Union (DCGU); the Durham Ladies County Golf Association (DLCGA); representatives from the North East / North West PGA; Golf Foundation; the English Golf Union (EGU) and English Women's Golf Association (EWGA) supported by County Durham Sport, Tees Valley Sport and Tyne and Wear Sport.

The above bodies formed a sub committee in July 2008 where three representatives from each organisation where elected to sit on the steering group to help grow the game within County Durham. In October and November 2008 two club forums were held at Seaton Carew Golf Club and South Moor Golf Club respectively, where Club Professionals, Junior Organisers, Club Secretaries and other delegates where given the opportunity to have an input into the county development plan and assess the needs and provisions of the county with regards to Golf Development.

In February 2009 the Durham Golf Partnership were awarded £24,500 over the next three years to develop Golfing opportunities in County Durham in line with the County Development Plan (See Development Plan for more information).
