DURHAM’S successful junior golf order of merit – the Mizuno Race 2 Rockliffe – produced an exciting final showdown. The battle for the overall championship went down to a dramatic play-off between the two leading players. Jessica Hall (Bishop Auckland GC) and Lily Downs (Eaglescliffe GC) finished level at the top of the leaderboard after 18 holes – and could not be separated after two play-off holes.

A TEAM of promising young golfers from Durham have claimed northern bragging rights. The players – who have all been competing on the Durham County Golf Partnership’s Junior Tour – came out on top against teams from Cumbria and Northumberland.
